I was imprisoned by strongholds for many years. I had no clue I had any problem until I decided I wanted to follow Christ more closely. Satan brought back shameful memories to convince me I was unworthy to follow Christ. I did recognize I was a shop-oholic, talk-oholic, eat-oholic, unhappy Christian who lived in defeat & could not manage to read my Bible & pray regularly even though I wanted to.
God used several scriptures to help me be free of these strongholds. I did a study by Neil Anderson and went through his steps to freedom. Later, when doing Beth Moore's study "Breaking Free", I saw the need to discover the lie that my strongholds had been based on.
I'll write more about this next time but just want to write scriptures today.
